Day 86, Wednesday, November 2, Ferry
We lose cell phone service in a few minutes for two days so i have to be fast. The next ferry stop is Bellingham near Seattle, a long stretch for Donner. Everyone is preparing for what is expected to very rough ride in three different locations for 2-3 hours each as the ferry heads to open sea.
Took a walk with Donner in Ketchikan today and found a nice little park, Alder Park, up a steep hill. Then i had a sense of deja vu. Sure enough, Leben and Erde and i stopped there 15 years ago when they were pups and some 10-12 year old kids joined us. I recall taking a photo of one of the kids, Eliza i believe, with the pups. Today a young boy named Damien came by and he thinks that Eliza might be his cousin Ekiza Wallace who still lives in the town. In case she looks at the blog, i am posting below the photo of Eliza with Leben and Erde.
Small world, or maybe, small town.
More Friday.
